Calvin wasn’t merely a killjoy curmudgeon- he wanted to drive people to the point where they recognized that life – in Christ – can be better.

  1. Despite all the explanations, unmerited suffering is a main reason b people embrace atheism. It is not that they do not believe God does not exist, just don’t want anything to do with a god who runs his universe in such a fashion.

    • That is certainly their God-given right to exercise their free-will by making that decision, Carl.
      The mistake they possibly make is in their decision to alleviate temporal suffering without understanding they may also be making a decision toward eternal suffering.
